Mr. Dugan’s life as a leader started at an early age growing up with no real father figure. He started at an early age calling on neighborhood kids collecting phone numbers and arranging baseball, basketball, football playing. Sports was always his sight out of poverty, until one tragic day on a high school basketball court his life was turned upside down and brought him to places no young man should have to go. Hard lessons and a life full of pain and trauma haunted him continually, working physically challenging jobs to make ends meet.
Overcoming adversity has always been an attribute in his life.
Being a husband and father has given him opportunities and experiences that God is using to bring his Word to those who need Him. He has been afforded great trust and opportunities to lead in companies like UPS and ADT, operating commercial school buses, umpiring and coaching, while keeping people, places, and children safe.
He found that Jesus’s love is far greater than anything we can have, attain, or do. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing souls saved, born again, baptized, and filled with the Holy Spirit, and set free. John 8:36 reads, “Therefore if the son makes you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 3:3 reads, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
It was then after everything was stripped from Kevin that he found his real purpose. He gave his life to Jesus and became born again, baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues.
His real passion is life, and to give that to this lost and dying world.
Serving, leading, following, giving and going has become his way of life.
The Vineyard Church is where he was baptized in the river and received total healing in his body in a healing revival.
While attending a men’s group at 1st Assembly of God Tom’s River (his hometown) Kevin was asked to pray about going on a missions trip to Africa. His life of faith had turned to a new meaning. God has met every need. On the way to a crusade he met a small child about 5 who handed a rock and a stick to him. He hit that rock and the boy retrieved it. This is where the Ministry of bringing Baseball to Kenya was birthed.
Kevin has been a-part of Crusades where he saw some 12,000 people hear the Gospel preached with signs and miracles happening everywhere, Including some receiving there sight, tumors the size of basketball disappear, ankles completely broken facing opposite direction come forward under the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Upon his return to the States God would wake him up saying, “ Do you know what I was doing there?” seeing the vision of the boy and the rock.
Mr. Dugan’s vision, faith has been met along new roads for God’s glory. He has now established two baseball teams AND two more in the making in Nakuru, Kenya, and one day soon envision having our own stadium for worship, revivals and baseball. He teaches the game using the example which we have in Ephesians 6: 10-17 FULL ARMOR OF GOD. Now his leaders have taken this example to the next generation using baseball as the inviting tool.
Kevin has had the chance to visit other countries including Trinidad and Africa, as well as living in many U.S. States.
His desire is to see what he was afforded as a child playing Little League baseball and sports in every school with fields and a stadium of their own.
Kevin and Susan plan to adopt to add to their already blended family currently three handsome, talented sons (with hopes of having 3 beautiful daughter- in-laws, a son in-law) to there beautiful daughter and three amazing grandchildren.
Joshua 24:15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord .”
Their co-labor of love is to see racism and poverty be HISTORY, And share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every generation that follows, both in the U.S. and abroad. Their passion is to use sports to demonstrate His truths, and to increase physical, personal, relational, and spiritual growth through training and mentoring. God has called him to be the father to the fatherless.
Job 29:12 Because I delivered the poor who cried for help, and the fatherless who had none to help him.
